SQL Release and Change Automation

Manually applying SQL code changes consumes up to 30% of a DBAs workload Database administrators manage frequent requests to apply changes to production databases. Each change requires the database administrator to validate change scripts, validate that the same version of those scripts were previously applied to a test environment, ensure those changes were validated, and then use privileged system access to execute the change. For smaller numbers of databases it makes sense for database administrators to be responsible for these changes. However, as the environment grows, requests increase and the database administrators are managing larger numbers of databases, manual code changes begins to consume a much large portion of the database administrator’s workload.
